Tag: Blogging Things I Suck At

Hello everyone. Today's post is about a new tag that I'm creating. I got this idea from YouTube and I thought that I'd absolutely love to bring it the blogging community. Basically, you can tag specific people that you want to do the tag (you can mention them in your post or leave a comment on their blog), tag everyone or do both. I tag EVERYONE to do this tag. I really hope this tag can get around. Share your post, other people's posts, and mine if you like it *wink*, on your Twitters, Facebooks, Google Plus', and Myspace?...  If you do decide to do this (you really should), please link back to this post or my blog. Copy paste the post header or if you want a different size, just ask me. If you think it's ugly (it's meant to reflect the sucky things) then I can make another one for you or you can make your own! So what I'm wondering is, what blogging things do you suck at? It doesn't matter if you're old at it or new at it. After all, blogging is not a competition. Let's just have some fun, share, and be happy when we realise we aren't the only ones. Continue to see what I suck at.

Reviews
So I have this thing where I read a book, plan to do a review and then don't. When I do decide to do one, I post it days or even weeks after I've read the book. When it comes to music reviews, I'm pretty good about it. I usually post the review not long after the song has come out. I really need to balance my reviews out. Determined.
Being Cheap
I know that it probably doesn't sound like something to do with blogging but I seriously have a problem with being cheap. Others are always prepared to dish out and get they're blog designed properly. Being the Asian that I am, I try to do it myself. Then, my blog turns out looking weird. Oh well. I can't really change this one. Maybe one day, when I'm rich and famous (in my dreams).
Being Colourful
So obviously, I don't like being too colourful. I always like to stay safe but in the end, my blog becomes an attack of brown. It's not just my blog either, I'm like this with my clothes as well. I just like neutrals. I really want to branch out but then again, I like my blog's consistency. I just wish I chose a bigger colour scheme from the start.
Forgetting
I'm not very forgetful overall but when it comes to blogging, oh boy, I'm so bad. I forget about everything. Sometimes, I'll plan to do a particular post and I just forget. By the time I remember it's not relevant anymore. I also forget about my emails all the time. I'll email someone, get a reply and then forget to reply myself. I think I really need to stop being cheap and buy a diary or something.

Trust me, there's heaps more that I suck at but for now, I'll just stop. If there's anything else you think I suck at, please let me know. Constructive criticism is always welcome because I want to improve as much as you want me to change something you hate. I really really really hope you can do this tag. It's one that any blogger can do. Join the fun and leave me links to your post in the comments or tweet me.

Tag: The Book Sacrifice Tag

I know that I've been doing a lot of tags and book related posts lately but I'm going to continue just because I find these fun. This tag was recently created by ArielBissett on YouTube. It's a tag about the books you hate but please, don't kill me if you love these books. Everyone's opinions are different. There are four different scenarios that Ariel has created and all you do is choose a book you would sacrifice in that situation.

1) An Over-Hyped Book: Let's start this off with a Zombie Apocalypse! Let's say you're in a book store, just browsing, when BAM! ZOMBIE ATTACK. An announcement comes over the PA System saying that the military has discovered that the zombies' only weakness is over-hyped books. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you really hated do you start chucking at the zombies knowing that it will count as an over-hyped book and successfully wipe them out?!
This one is just a bit hard because most of the time, when everyone loves a book, I love it too. I'm going to chose by though. I did rate this book 4 STARS but I think I'm choosing this book because I think the series overall is way over-hyped.

2) A Sequel: Let's say you've just left the salon with a SMASHING new haircut and BOOM: Torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?

This one is extremely easy. byBook Disappointment Of February 2013!

3) A Classic: Let's say you're in a lecture and your English teacher is going on and on about how this classic changed the world, how it revolutionized literature and you get so sick of it that you chuck the classic right at his face because you know what? This classic is stupid and it's worth detention just to show everyone how you feel! What Classic did you chuck?

To be honest I have never completed a classic in my life. I know, go ahead and judge me. I am though, currently reading a Classic for school and I'm just going to choose it. I think it's just really hard to enjoy a book that you're forced to read. by.

4) Your Least Favourite Book of Life!: Let's say that you're hanging out at the library when BAM global warming explodes and the world outside becomes a frozen wasteland. You're trapped and your only chance for survival is to burn a book. What is the book you first run to, your least favourite book of all life, what book do you not fully regret lighting? Stolen

Also a very easy choice. I would burn this book without hesitation. by I just found the situation so extremely disturbing. A girl is kidnapped and forced to loved the person who kidnapped her. That is absolutely crazy! It's disgusting how she even slowly falls for him. I just couldn't read it, couldn't even finish it. I would've given it 0 STARS if I could've.

Tag: The Name Game Book Tag

Hey everyone! I know that my last post was also a tag but I just find these so fun. I'm like pretty sure that these tags aren't meant to be done on blogs and instead in a YouTube video but I still think it's a good idea. Maybe people do do these tags on their blogs and I just haven't realised. Bloggers tend to do blog hops more but it's hard for me to keep a schedule. So today I'm doing The Name Game Book Tag created by KimberleysBookNook on YouTube. Basically, I choose a book that represents each letter in my name. I have to own the book or have read the book. So obviously, my name is Laura, here goes.

L
For the letter L, I choose The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. I chose this because it is one of my favourite books of all time. I overall love Nicholas Sparks though because I love Romance. I also chose this book because I still haven't watched the movie. It's a reminder that I really have to soon.
A
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. For the same reasons as the previous. I absolutely love the characters in this book. Sometimes the characters are too fake, too annoying or too haughty but I loved Anna and St. Clair. The story is a bit cliche but it was a really fun and quick read.
U
I choose Unwind by Neal Shusterman. I absolutely loved this book and it's unique concept. It explores a lot of different issues that exist in out society even though it's a dystopian world. I also chose this because the sequel is probably the most hated sequel I've ever read. See how I said I hated annoying characters? Well the sequel has more than enough of them. I loved Unwind though.
R
Speaking of sequels, for the letter R, I choose Rules of Attraction which is the second book in the Perfect Chemistry series by Simone Elkeles. This books was definitely an amazing sequel and wasn't what I expected. I loved how the author chose the little brother of one of the protagonists in Perfect Chemistry to be the protagonist in this sequel. Cliche, but absolutely amazing.
A
Another A! I choose A Walk to Remember again by Nicholas Sparks. This one is perfect because the A is the fifth letter in my name and A Walk Remember is my fifth favourite book of all time. This book is kind of like Romeo and Juliet, you know exactly what's going to happen right from the start but once it happens, you can't take it. It's an extremely poignant book and it made me cry so much.
A Walk to Remember

I'm happy my name only has five letters. Otherwise, this post would've been extremely long.

Tag: Music Tag

I wanted to do a tag on my blog and I'm not really sure if it's a thing on blogs but I know that people always do tags on YouTube. I found this tag and thought, why not? The questions are pretty simple and they fit in perfectly with my blog. If you want to do the tag, please do so! I tag everyone.

1. Favorite band/ musician of the moment?
Right now I'm obsessed with Lee Hi because of her new song Rose. Best song ever. Well at least so far.
2. One band you always come back to?
This is hard because there are so many artists/bands that I can always listen to. The only person I can think of right now is Taylor Swift. Whenever I'm in the mood, I can listen to her, no matter how old the song.
3. Favorite movie soundtrack?
I don't know if you count this as a movie but I love the To The Beautiful You OST because I love that K-Drama. If I have to choose a movie though, it'd be the Pitch Perfect Soundtrack. Come on, les be honest, it's awesome.
4. What is/are your favorite song(s) of all time?
I can't. This is really really hard but I think I'd have to chose Adele. I can't choose between Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain and Turning Tables.
5. Most embarrassing song on your iTunes?
I have a lot of songs on my iTunes and I don't think I'm really embarrassed about any of them but I'll just choose the 4 virals. Baby, Call Me Maybe, What Makes You Beautiful and... yep, Gangnam Style.
6. Top 3 played songs on your iTunes?
I've changed my iTunes and so some of my most played songs ever have had their plays erased. Luckily though, I do remember them.
- Static Revenger & Richard Vission feat. Luciana - I Like That
From memory this song had over 600 plays. Yeah I know, I was addicted to this song way back when in 2009. Feels like so long ago now.
- BIGBANG - Monster
Also from memory, I'm pretty sure this song had almost 400 plays. V.I.P forever.
- Boyfriend - Janus
This one is recent and is on my newer iTunes and it has exactly 292 plays. I'm about to make it 293.
7. Favorite concert you've attended?
Actually, I've never been to a concert ever. I know, I need to get a life.
8. Most underrated musician in your opinion?
Most of the people I listen to are pretty popular. I guess K-Pop is underrated and misunderstood over all because of PSY. But, one artist I like that not many people have heard of is Kerli. Her song, Army of Love is one of my favourites.
9. Favorite quote or song lyric?
I love quotes, A LOT. This is going to be hard. Song lyrics are hard too since there's so many. My favourite I'd say would be never give up on the dreams you can't go a day without thinking about. I know this is meant to be a music tag and a song lyric would be better but that quote just really gets to me. I think it's beautiful.

Wow, okay that was a long post. I hope this post further shows what my taste in music is like.
