I know that I've been doing a lot of tags and book related posts lately but I'm going to continue just because I find these fun. This tag was recently created by ArielBissett on YouTube. It's a tag about the books you hate but please, don't kill me if you love these books. Everyone's opinions are different. There are four different scenarios that Ariel has created and all you do is choose a book you would sacrifice in that situation.
1) An Over-Hyped Book: Let's start this off with a Zombie Apocalypse! Let's say you're in a book store, just browsing, when BAM! ZOMBIE ATTACK. An announcement comes over the PA System saying that the military has discovered that the zombies' only weakness is over-hyped books. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you really hated do you start chucking at the zombies knowing that it will count as an over-hyped book and successfully wipe them out?!
This one is just a bit hard because most of the time, when everyone loves a book, I love it too. I'm going to chose Delirium byLauren Oliver though. I did rate this book 4 STARS but I think I'm choosing this book because I think the series overall is way over-hyped.
2) A Sequel: Let's say you've just left the salon with a SMASHING new haircut and BOOM: Torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?
This one is extremely easy. UnWholly byNeal Shusterman. I did a whole post as to why I hated this sequel. I expected so much because the first book was absolutely amazing but this sequel just pissed me off. Read about it here: Book Disappointment Of February 2013!
3) A Classic: Let's say you're in a lecture and your English teacher is going on and on about how this classic changed the world, how it revolutionized literature and you get so sick of it that you chuck the classic right at his face because you know what? This classic is stupid and it's worth detention just to show everyone how you feel! What Classic did you chuck?
To be honest I have never completed a classic in my life. I know, go ahead and judge me. I am though, currently reading a Classic for school and I'm just going to choose it. I think it's just really hard to enjoy a book that you're forced to read. Frankenstein byMary Shelley.
4) Your Least Favourite Book of Life!: Let's say that you're hanging out at the library when BAM global warming explodes and the world outside becomes a frozen wasteland. You're trapped and your only chance for survival is to burn a book. What is the book you first run to, your least favourite book of all life, what book do you not fully regret lighting?
Also a very easy choice. I would burn this book without hesitation. Stolen by Lucy Christopher. I just found the situation so extremely disturbing. A girl is kidnapped and forced to loved the person who kidnapped her. That is absolutely crazy! It's disgusting how she even slowly falls for him. I just couldn't read it, couldn't even finish it. I would've given it 0 STARS if I could've.
