Cover Reveal + Giveaway: Micheal by Annabell Cadiz

Michael Annabell Cardiz

Michael Annabel CardizZahara Faraday looks like a normal eighteen-year-old and lives in a quiet neighborhood with her overprotective parents. She works at a bookstore and hangs out with her best friend Becca King on a daily basis. But underneath the normal lies a secret life filled with dangerous supernaturals. Zahara belongs to a world made of Light Witches, rogue Imagoes (supernatural creatures with super strength, speed), fallen angels, and Nephilim (hybrid children born half-human, half-angel). Where her father Solomon Faraday is human, her mother Mia and her Aunt Catalina are Light Witches. They help protect the human world by hunting down rogue supernaturals who commit heinous acts against humans.
What they never expected was the possibility of having to hunt down the one rogue coven they had befriended and come to trust in their battle against Lucifer. Rekesh Saint-Louis is the leader of the most powerful Imago coven in Florida and now he’s the most wanted. Supernatural bodies are starting to pile up with an ancient ritual long forbade being used to murder them and the symbol, one large cross with four smaller crosses around it, which represents Rekesh’s coven, being left behind. Rekesh and the Elders of his coven set out to find who is behind the murders and clearing his name before a war between the covens begins. To make matters more difficult, Rekesh also has to deal with the return of someone he would rather preferred stayed away.
Meanwhile, Zahara and Becca are spending more time brushing up on their training, knowing an attack from Lucifer can come at any moment. Between patrolling neighborhoods and hanging at the boarding school created by Charles Stephens—a fallen angel who created the school to protect the children of rogue supernaturals—they are introduced to an old friend of Charles, Michael. Zahara begins to develop a closer bond with Jason as they train and chase down clues to clear Rekesh’s name. Jason also starts to develop a close bond with Michael, protecting a very powerful secret.
But Rekesh’s coven being set up isn’t the only danger. A new powerful and lethal drug has emerged from the shadows of the supernatural world called Inferi. A side effect of the drug: it leaves the supernatural hungering for blood—both human and supernatural.
Lucifer is on the move and he will stop at nothing to get his hands on Zahara and complete the first act of his plan. A battle is about to begin. One that may cost the Faraday family everything they hold most dear.

Review: The Other Side by Jason Derulo

The Other Side Json Derulo

Genres: Pop, Music, R&B/Soul, Rock
Released: 16 April 2013
℗ 2013 Warner Bros. Records Inc.

Yay for another music review! Today, I'm going to tell you why I absolutely love The Other Side by Jason Derulo. I know that this song has been out for quite awhile but it didn't capture my attention until the music video was released yesterday. I'd downloaded the song when it came out and I listened to it once and kind of just forgot to add to it to my playlist. When the music video came out I was like OMG this song is actually really good!
Song:
I don't always rate songs but this one definitely gets a 5 STARS from me. It has a very uplifting beat that makes you want to party. The dance vibe accompanied Jason Derulo's voice amazingly. I think that the song is very catchy and easy to listen too. I still remember when I used to listen to In My Head and Watcha Say. I also liked Breathing which came out in 2011 but I haven't really liked a Jason Derulo song in quite a long time. Now, I remember why I loved his songs so much all those years ago.
Lyrics:
Though the song has a party feel, it doesn't have many things that you'd normally associate with those kinds of songs. Most of the lyrics are very cute, sweet and romantic. The only line that I'd personally change is "Tonight we’ll just get drunk". I think that without that, everything else is wonderful. The lyrics have an urgent tone but it's really beautiful at the same time. Lines like "Kiss me like it’s do or die" are what really make me love the song. It also makes me wish that I wasn't forever alone.
Summary:
As you probably expected, overall, this song was absolutely mind blowing. I love love loved it! I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already, although most people probably already have. I could listen to this song over and over all day. My neighbours might be a little annoyed at my non-stop singing but The Other Side is just one of the songs where you can't listen to it without that urge to start singing. The music video is just a tad bit raunchy though, alright, a lot raunchy.

Giveaway: 100 Followers

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed me. I now have over one hundred followers but I made sure to capture the moment. I hit 100 on the 25th of April 2013 at approximately 10:45pm Sydney time. I'm grateful for all my GFC followers and also my Bloglovin' followers. I hope that the numbers will continue to grow as my audience gets bigger. Thank you for everyone's support along the way. Blogging has been a big journey for me. Though I've had my blog since September 2012, I didn't really put my blog out there until this year. I started to gain more and more followers and to this day, I still get excited each time I gain one new follower or get an email saying that I have one new comment that I can reply too.

I know it's cheesy but THANK YOU SO MUCH!
It was hard trying to figure out what to giveaway for this giveaway but I decided to just go with something simple. My blog is Music Plus Books so I decided to have one music giveaway and one book giveaway. You get your choice of any album/single etc. and your choice of any book (electronic format). Books Of February 2013!

I've had an extremely productive month! Well I guess I've actually had a very unproductive month since I've only been reading but I've been productive in reading. I finished five books this month. These are the four out of the five that I actually liked. I also read UnWholly but that unfortunately was a disappointment. Click here for that post. Without further ado, here it is:

Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)

by
This one gets a special mini review cause that's just how awesome it is. I know I said that this was going to be a March read but I finished Unravel Me so I was like, meh why not? I went through it so fast! I loved the characters. I loved the emotions it brought out. There were definitely some parts I didn't expect but I love how each character connected. The writing was also amazing. I can't wait for the second book even though I wouldn't mind if this was a novel on it's own. Go read it! NOW!

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)

The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines, #3)

I definitely give all these books 5 STARS. I wish that I could've liked every book I read this month but oh well. 80% of them were amazing so I'm happy. I'm currently reading Warm Bodies. I just started so I'm not going to judge it yet but we'll see.

TBR in March 2013!

Good morning, or afternoon! Or I guess goodnight but that sounds to much like I'm saying goodbye but anyways hello! These are the books I'm planning to read in March which seems far away but not really. I'm about to start and I don't think I'm going to be able to finish any other books this month. If I do though, I'll probably just start one of these and finish it in March anyway.
