Q: Back to School time! Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you'll be teaching this semester.

After a lot of thinking, I thought I'd do an author study kind of thing. If I was teaching an imaginary English Lit class (which by the way, I have no idea about since I live in Australia), I would have to expose them to John Green! His not my all time favourite author but I don't think Nicholas Sparks books would be appropriate for school. Even though John Green explores a lot of scary themes, I still think that his writing is amazing. I still have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like his books. I've read all his books except for The Abundance of Katherines which I really do need to read one day.

Mini Music Reviews: La La La + Acapella + Royals

Mini Music/Book Reviews are a new type of post I'm planning to do more of on my blog. The reason I'd like to Mini Music Reviews is because it's my way to feature songs that I've been loving recently without having to worry about things such as how new the song is. These reviews will be a lot shorter and more fun. Especially with these music ones, I just want you to see how good the song is yourself. Today, I'll be featuring La La La by Naughty Boy (feat. Sam Smith), Acapella by Karmin and Royals by Lorde.

The beginning is like amazing. I got hooked into this immediately. I love the repetition of 'la's and 'na's. Both voices sound amazing. Like no joke I can just listen to this song on repeat and just sing. Even though the actual music isn't extremely unique, the voices and production makes up for it. The lyrics are relatable because we all know we've felt like this once.

As always, Karmin's songs are super fun. I remember way back in the day when they used to be just YouTube famous. I'm proud of where they've gotten. Though I loved Brokenhearted a lot more, Acapella is an amazing song too. It's that type of song you listen to when you want to feel swag. You'll want to bob your head and shake your hair and dance. Even though her voice is amazing, her rapping is superb. It's not fast, just cool.

Lorde is a New Zeleander which means that most people who don't live there or in Australia probably wouldn't of heard of her. She is fantastic though. Her voice is so wonderful. I can't even explain it. I just love it. Royals is a really simple song that has a 'I don't give a crap' vibe. It has a really slow pace that makes me want to sway. It uses demonstrates how nice percussion can sound with electronic sounds.

Books Of July 2013!

Guys I know. Why the hell am I doing an end of the month post like a week into the next month? I'm so bad. Sorry! Okay well, better late than never. In July, I read a crazy eleven books. Like seriously, that is super amazingly wow for me. I never, like never ever ever read that many books. Eleven is probably casual for some people but I'm really proud of myself. I was looking through my Goodreads and my jaw just dropped. If you saw my last post, I mentioned that I will be making a few little changes. One of those is how my monthly book posts will be set out. Massive [Not Really] Changes To My Blog!

Hi guys! The first thing, Disqus. At first, I was going to wait another month to see how the poll went but in the end, I got too excited. The reason I made the poll in the first place was because I wanted to change to Disqus. Majority ruled. So now, if you look back at my comments, it will make absolutely no sense. I kind of wish I would've made it Disqus from the beginning but oh well. I dare you to try make sense of the comments in all my previous post. No, I'm just kidding. It really makes no sense because the replies are in a weird order and everything.

Also, I'm going to be making quite a few new changes to my blog. It really hurts me to do this because I love consistency but I though it'd be better to make all the changes at once. Other than the comments, the biggest changes I'm planning to make include:
1. 'Review' to 'Music Review' or 'Book Review'. Now in my titles, it will be more clear what kind of review the post is going to be on.
2. New rating system. This one is coming soon. I have a good idea of what I'm planning to do but I haven't made it solid just yet. I think I want to do something similar to Asti from A Bookish Heart.
3. One of my favourite blogs is Snuggly Oranges, this is because she uses gifs. I hope Debby doesn't mind but I'm just going to, um, take the idea. Haha, I just think gifs are so much fun! I'm going to try to incorporate them into more of my posts.
4. All the other changes are little things. This that you probably really won't notice unless you're like obsessed with my blog.

Everything else should be the same. Right now, the three features I have on my blog are:

Saturday: Stacking The Shelves
Sunday: Sit Tight Sunday
I don't plan to add anymore as of right now because my blog is already way too crowded.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what else I should change, now is the time. I'm ready for a change so definitely let me know in the new and improved comments or drop me an email. Don't worry if you think it's mean, I won't hate you. In fact, I'll probably love you more. Just while I'm in the mood, thank you to all the people who have supported me along the way. I would love to do more giveaways and I'm always open to creative giveaway ideas. I hope all of you lovelies have a fantastic rest of the day.

SCAR THE MARTYR UMUMKAN SINGLE LAGU PERTAMA

Drumer SLIPKNOT, Joey Jordison garap lagu pertama bersama band barunya SCAR THE MARTYR yang berjudul 'Blood Host' yang dimana nantinya akan dirilis pada 1 Oktober 2013 melalui Roadrunner Records.

'Blood Host' membuat premier pada Revolver untuk mengecek silahkan click disini. "Ini sangat kebetulan bahwa 'Blood Host' adalah lagu dan video pertama kami selama membentuk sebuah band baru. Itu adalah lagu pertama kami yang saya tulis untuk proyek band ini, mungkin itu ide terbaik untuk sebuah band" tungkas Joey melalui Revolver pada 3 Agustus kemarin.

Joey sendiri menjelaskan judul baru 'Blood Host' secara rinci kepada Revolver, dimana 'Blood Host' memiliki semuanya: Riff hipnotis, chorus yang tinggi, power pukulan dan lirik yang menular dalam setiap arti. "Kami bangga dengan trek tersebut dan itu cukup banyak memungkinkan anda tahu dimana kita berasal, musik dan tentang kehidupan"

SCAR THE MARTYR sendiri akan melakukan tournya mendatang demi melanjutkan karir profesionalnya bersama band sekaligus debut lagu pertama mereka yang berjudul 'Blood Host' bersama band lainnya seperti DANZIG dan HUNTRESS. It's Katy Perry, I don't know what else I have to say. Who doesn't love Katy Perry? I can't wait until she comes back. Roar will be the first single she released from her upcoming album. The album, Prism, if I'm not mistaken, will come out on the 22nd of October. If you haven't already watched the teaser below, you have to. A 30 second clip of Katy Perry burning the blue wig she wore in California Gurls. You can tell that she's going for a much darker concept compared her first albums. August 12th. So close yet so far away, I can't wait!
